Tayon R. Swafford

Tayon R. Swafford is a Licensed Social Worker and an Assistant Professor of Social Work at Marian University in Indianapolis, Indiana. His research interests include gender, racial, and sexual identity development over the life course, religion, spirituality, and trauma. Prior to matriculating to Indiana University, where Tayon earned a Master of Social Work, Graduate Certificate in e-Social Work Practice, and is finishing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Social Work, Tayon worked for the Indiana Department of Child Services. Tayon also holds a Master of Theological Studies degree from Vanderbilt University, along with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Albright College, Summa cum Laude.
